Alan, I've always loved this barn all by itself in the middle of this field. This fall, what looks like electric fencing, was added in the field which kind of messed up the view. However, as we know this barn is first and foremost part of a farm. Without the farms keeping the working landscape open, Vermont would lose a good bit of its charm. The Locust Grove Farm (which this barn is part of) had been inactive and for sale for quite some time. I was finally sold this fall and is being reactivated which would explain the fences. The main barn is also going to undergo some much needed repairs.
