An early autumn pastoral landscape in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom in the village of Peacham. The Northeast Kingdom consists of Essex, Orleans and Caledonia counties in the northeastern corner of Vermont. The Kingdom is a special place. Less populated and developed than the rest of the state, it offers a slower paced lifestyle and beautiful countryside vistas. It is my favorite place to go to unwind and capture beautiful images.
Welcome to my FAA website. My hope is that you enjoy what you see here as much as I enjoyed making these images. I learned how to make photographs with film; first 35mm and then medium format. Today the pursuit continues with digital cameras and photographic software. Good fortune allows me to live in a beautiful place - northern Vermont, where there are endless year round opportunities to photograph nature and the changing landscape. I am drawn to dramatic/graphic and intimate/quiet landscapes. Often the challenge is to artfully capture the interaction of season, light, and weather in compelling images.
